Source Cynomolgus IL-2RA Protein; hFc Tag (GM-88757RP) is expressed from human 293 cells (HEK-293). It contains AA Glu 22 - Glu 238 (Accession # H6WS54).
This protein carries a hFc tag at the C-terminus.
Purity > 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE
Endotoxin < 1 EU/μg, determined by LAL gel clotting assay
Predicted Mol Mass 50.4 kDa
Formulation Supplied as a 0.2 μm filtered solution of PBS, pH7.2-7.4.
Description IL-2RA protein, full name Interleukin-2 Receptor Subunit Alpha, is an important cell surface receptor protein and a member of the interleukin-2 receptor family. IL-2RA protein, also known as CD25, forms the high-affinity heterotrimeric IL-2 receptor complex together with IL-2RB (CD122) and the common gamma chain (IL-2RG, CD132).
Abnormal expression of IL-2RA protein is closely associated with the occurrence and development of various malignant tumors and immune-related disorders, including adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma (ATLL), cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL), hairy cell leukemia, and certain solid tumors. In tumor cells and the tumor microenvironment, overexpression of IL-2RA can promote tumor cell survival and proliferation through sustained IL-2 signaling, while elevated soluble IL-2RA (sCD25) levels in patient serum are often correlated with poor prognosis and disease progression in various hematological malignancies.
In summary, IL-2RA protein plays a crucial role in immune regulation and tumor immunology. It is of great significance for understanding the mechanisms of immune escape and T-cell dysregulation in cancer, developing novel targeted therapeutic strategies, and evaluating patient prognosis, particularly in the context of hematological malignancies and immune checkpoint-based combination therapies.
