IL-6RA protein plays a crucial role in regulating immune responses, hematopoiesis, and acute-phase inflammatory reactions by binding to its ligand interleukin-6 (IL-6) with high affinity, thereby forming a complex with gp130 (IL-6ST) and activating downstream JAK/STAT3, MAPK, and PI3K/Akt signaling pathways in normal physiological conditions.
